Short films that remind us who we are and what we’re here to do.

Refuge

I think that the concept of refuge--however you understand it--is absolutely vital, especially in turbulent times. Where we seek refuge largely determines both our internal state and the larger state of the world in which we live. So it's a topic worthy of continual contemplation. I hope this film inspires that.

To Be at Home in the World

A short film about the crisis of belonging, the high price of progress, and the return journey home, as told by author/philosopher Charles Eisenstein. For the best experience, listen with headphones This project was a labor of love, and I'm immensely grateful to Charles for sharing his time and his beautiful words. If this film resonated with you, please take a moment to share it with others in your life, especially those outside the algorithmically-walled circles where these kinds of messages already echo. I trust that in this way, the quiet promise of home may reach the ears that need to hear it most.

Judge_not: a short film about learning to love the cringe

Over the last couple years, I’ve tried to bring an increased awareness to the relationship between judgement, compassion, and suffering--both within myself and the larger collective culture. I see the seductive trap of judgment as a source of so much suffering, especially in this current moment in time. But it is also a symptom of a deeper suffering, the separation and disconnection from who we truly are. If I can, instead, meet judgment with compassion, then I can also begin to transform separation into connection, fear into love, and suffering into the medicine that the world needs. Making these videos is one little way that I try to share this medicine. What’s yours?

AFTER THE FALL - The Tarot, the Tower, and Times of Change

I've been using this time in isolation to dive a little deeper into my fascination with the mysteries of the esoteric and occult. One tool that I've found really helpful right now is the Tarot. In these times of great disruption and uncertainty, the archetypes and stories that are contained within these cards can bring a lot of clarity and direction. I wanted to share a little about my experience with those who might not be as familiar, so I made this video
